Inclusion

At Manor Primary, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We believe every child deserves equitable opportunities to thrive, and we are committed to understanding each individual’s strengths, barriers, and needs. Through strong, positive relationships and high-quality teaching, we make reasonable adjustments to ensure every pupil can access and succeed within our curriculum. Where needed, we provide carefully chosen, research-led interventions and adapt teaching approaches to break down barriers to learning.

Our Inclusion Hub, where you can usually find Mrs Payne (SENCO) and Mrs Atherton (SEND TA), offers a welcoming drop-in space for all children. It is a place for soft starts to the day, borrowing fiddle toys, or simply talking with a trusted adult when feeling anxious or needing extra support. It is also a source of invaluable support for teachers and parents.

By normalising differences and teaching self-regulation strategies like Zones of Regulation, we create a safe, understanding environment that reflects our school’s values.
